Contents The text is a political prophecy in hexameters attributed to John of Bridlington. John of Bridlington (died 1379), whose name was John Thwenge, was canon and then Prior of the Augustinian Canons Regular of the Priory of Bridlington, in Yorkshire. His holy conduct of life and some miracles which were attributed to him led to his canonisation, ratified by Pope Boniface IX in 1401.
