Scope and Contents Two athletic medals for 'throwing cricket ball', dated 1871 (distance of the throw: 100 yards and 2 inches) and 1872 (distance of the throw: 108 yards and 10 inches). They were awarded to Joseph Dobrée Le Mesurier, an Edinburgh University medical student from Québec who won them at the first ever Scottish Inter-University Games in March 1871, and again in 1872.
