"IQ 72 was very shy and backward. Had a bad scalding accident as a child which put him back, would not speak or come to school after it for a long time. Now working as a woodman, nice lad. Father a ploughman, not very bright. Mother 30-40, giggly. Fairly clean house, children were not well nourished looking. [Male informant] one sister is OK, but not quick witted."
