As the letter is not addressed to Ewart by name, it is unclear whether the letter was addressed to another recipient. Tschusi confirms the receipt of the addressee's letter, prospectus of and index of Bohemian ornithology, which includes a bibliography. He complains that the index does not contain an important work by the addressee's uncle and that one of the his own works has been omitted from the bibliography.
