"It takes this man all his time to be sane, doubtful if he can read or write, very poor material. Farm worker. Children said to be dirty and backward. Dirty home, overcrowded, inharmonious. [Male informant] confirms - they should not be allowed to have any more children - don't know how to look after them. They lock the door and go away, leaving the children to fend for themselves. Have not yet been reported to the Cruelty Man."
