Cecil complains of an inaccurate statement made by Richard Lydekker that dun is the only pure colour showing the antiquity of the Kathiawan pony. He states that Lydekker is obviously ignorant of the existence of the Mongolian pony and that Cecil has specimens of both types in his possession.
