Cockerell thanks Ewart for the photographs of the Arab and Roman-nosed horses, and a paper on Connemara ponies. He describes the doubling of the sale price of horses due to British government agents buying up western ponies wholesale to ship to South Africa. He advises that, if the ponies are shipped to London on the way, Ewart might get the chance to examine and buy any horse he wanted.
