Scope and Contents Letter to Sir Charles Lyell from William Carruthers relating to a notice on Arran ash-trees published by Mr Wunsch which he says is enclosed. He tells Lyell that Wunsch has promised a lengthened account to accompany Carruthers' account of the plants. Carruthers has, with British Association money, published a large series of accounts. He sends 3 of these to Lyell, 11 April 1870.
