Letter from J P Tuck to Hector Thomson regarding Tuck's volume, The origins and development of the training of teachers in the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, 9 Jul 1971
Tuck refers to the enclosure of his volume, remarking that there are references to Thomson and Lady Thomson in the volume, and asks Hector Thomson to give Lady Thomson his best wishes.

Also includes typescript of a lecture, the first page of which is headed 'The Basic Ideas of Biology', with handwritten notes, and typescript of a lecture titled 'Scientific Approaches to the Concept of Purpose.'
