Biography

MS 39 at EUL has a list of fourteen members of a family named Babham. Seven of these names correspond to children named in the wills of Thomas Babham (1490) and his wife Margaret Babham (1498), now held in the National Archives at Kew. Margaret Babham bequeathed her ‘greet primer’ – almost certainly MS 39 – to Leticia, the first daughter named in the series of birth entries.
