Biography

James Ferguson was an Edinburgh-based lawyer during the late 18th-early 19th century. He owned a property on the West Bow, Edinburgh, situated above the shop of his uncle, Thomas Ferguson, who was a coppersmith. James Ferguson predeceased his uncle, so Thomas Ferguson became his nephew’s heir.
