Biography

André Caplet was a French composer and conductor. In 1901 he won the Prix de Rome in 1901, ahead of Maurice Ravel. He was a close friend of Debussy and orchestrated some of his works; and he served as conductor of the Boston Opera from 1910 to 1914.
