Biography

Peter of Poitiers was a French scholastic theologian who was born at or near Poitiers around 1130. he succeeded Peter Comestor in the chair of scholastic theology at the University of Paris. He died in Paris, probably in 1215, but some sources suggest 1205. He wrote Biblical commentaries as well as books based on his own lectures.
