Biography

Admiral Sir Ross Donnelly was a Royal Navy officer of the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Born around 1761, Ross Donnelly joined the navy in the 1770s. He served during some of the major conflicts of that era, most notably the American Revolutionary War, French Revolutionary War and Napoleonic Wars. He was awarded a knighthood for his services in 1837 and made a full admiral in 1838. He died 2 years later, in 1840.

The Use is not identified, but Kalendar, Litany, and one Flemish rubric establish a Flemish provenance, and seem to point further to Thérouanne and Saint Omer.Kalendar: starts on f. 1r.
