Typed case summary and charts relating to male from Scotland (outside Edinburgh and the Lothians) aged 20 at first examination in 1953. Conditions mentioned include: closed head injury; severe cerebral damage; brainstem ischaemia; fractures of tibia and fibula; subdural hygroma; increased intracranial pressure; attacks of extensor rigidity; and pulmony embolism. Surgical and nonsurgical treatment given. Patient died in hospital.
