Scope and Contents
Series of papers relating to various poems, hymns and verse. Includes a letter from Kenneth McLeod to Alexander Carmichael, dated 8 March 1907, referring to the hymn 'Achan Mhoire Mhathar' and items relating to the poem 'Mochra Domhnach' including words, music and related notes. Words to Mochthrath Domhnach, by an unknown hand are marked, 'Transcribed A.C.'
Also includes a number of poems, a Waulking Song, headed, 'Remembered Fragment by Mary Ross, December 9 1907'. Also a poem headed 'Clo Mhic Ghille Mhichael' (in Kenneth MacLeod's hand) and pieces of music headed, 'C'ait an caidil an Ribhinn', 'An Fhideag Airgid' (recorded by Amy Murray), 'A Mhairi Mhin Mheall-shuileach Dhubh', and 'Tha mo run air a' Ghille'. The latter two pieces are by Evelyn Benedict and are dated 2 September 1905.
