Vocabulary note written down by John Ewen MacRury, Beinn na Faoghla/Benbecula for 'Gheiblaid or Geiblaid' stating that it is applicable to both man and beast and means 'a wirey thin diminitive object which does not grow in bone and flesh according to his or her age.'
