Note about the verse 'Rann Liadail' collected from Hector MacIosaig [Hector MacIsaac], Kean Langabhat, Iochdar [Ceann Langabhat, Ìochdar, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist]. The verse is said to have been composed by 'The Cailleach of Liadail' [Liathdail] who was said to have been 100 years old when she composed the verse. Several placenames are mentioned including Loch a' Cheann Dughain at Howbeag [Tobha Beag/Howbeg]; the river Ionnair Mòr flowing from Coire Ruevail on Teacal into Loch Druidibig [An t-Ionaire Mòr, Coire Ruadail, Thacla/Hecla, Loch Druidibeag/Loch Druidibeg], and Sithein a Bhealaich at Bealach Fhrosgairt [Sithein a' Bhealaich, Bealach Crosgard].
