The story tells how Columba's sister was going to the sheiling with another woman. Calum Cille told her to put a stone in her sack and when the woman asked her what she had in her sack to tell her that it was cheese. The woman wondered why the cheese was so big and Columba's sister said that she would not make a small cheese without making a big one first, which amused him greatly.
