The song is composed of seven lines. An accompanying note states that the informant heard the song from his father but he could only remember these few lines and that the word 'falaire' is closer to 'alaire' in meaning. It is noted 'Bha 'n duan anabarrach briagh' [The song was exceptionally pretty].
