Scope and Contents
Song entitled 'Carbad Falaire Chuchuillain' collected from Eachann Donullach [Hector MacDonald], Talamh-sgeir, Eilean Sgitheanach [Talaisgeir/Talisker, An t-Eilean Sgitheanach/Isle of Skye] beginning 'Na h-eich liobhach laingeireach lothar no lomhar, 'S na spuir oir fotha (fopa?)'. The song is composed of seven lines. An accompanying note states that the informant heard the song from his father but he could only remember these few lines and that the word 'falaire' is closer to 'alaire' in meaning. It is noted 'Bha 'n duan anabarrach briagh' [The song was exceptionally pretty].
