Song collected from Kenneth Morrison, aged 80 years Coinneach mac Dhonnachai[dh] Nisissi, Harris [Nisishee, Na Hearadh/Isle of Harris] beginning 'Gu d fhalbh an diu Cro-nan gobhar, Dh'eug a Mhiseach sam Barra buinigneach na deo'ai[gh]'. The song is composed of twenty five lines. The accompanying note tells how he heard this song when he was young from an old woman in MacLeod's country in Skye [An t-Eilean Sgitheanach/Isle of Skye]. 'She said she comp[osed] this herself when she lost her baidean ghoar in the Cuillion.'
