De Deo Socratis [incomplete] by Apuleius, 12th century
Contents
This section of the manuscript contains a version of Apuleius's De Deo Socratis ('On the God of Socrates'). Although this text does mention Socrates, it does so only towards the end, and is mostly concerned with Plato's ideas about the daimôn. Apuleius was writing in the 2nd century.
In this manuscript, this text begins on f.198r with Prophana philosophie turba imperitorum, which is from Chapter 3. It ends on f.203v with the words Syrenas audiit nee accessit. Explicit.
This section of the manuscript seems to be written in a similar hand to the previous.
