Custodial History
It is not clear. From its appearance the book may be English or French. There is an old 15th century press-mark on f. 1, p. XXI, but no other early mark of any kind. It would seem later to have been in German hands. The binding (probably 17th century) looks German, and one pencil note of more recent date, 194 Blātter, is additional evidence of its having been in Germany. A Sale Catalogue entry (of unknown date) gives its price as £3,3s.
