Bull of Pope Gregory IX, Quo elongati, 14th century

Ff. 9r-13r of MS 151 contain a papal bull by Pope Gregory IX, a mid-thirteenth century pope is infamous for his text, Decretales, an important work of medieval canon law. This bull, from 1230, concerns the resolution of controversy over elements of the testament of Saint Francis of Assisi. It is known by the title 'Quo elongati'.
The text begins with the words Gregorius episcopus servus servorum dei dilectis filiis et generali et provincialibus ministris ac custodibus ceterisque fratribus ordinis minorum salutem...Quo elongati a seculo...
The 'Quo elongati' bull of Gregory IX ends in MS 151 on f. 13r with the words Data Anagnie quarto Kal. Octubris pontificatus nostri anno quarto Amen
In the same good Italian Gothic hand as the first 8 folios of MS 151.
Blue and red filigree initials, and two lines of ornamental capitals at the beginning.
