This section of the manuscript contains the text De Libertate Arbitrii by Anselm of Canterbury (1033/4-1109). Anslem was a very influential and prolific writer of philosophical and theological treatises and dialogues. He was a monk, abbot, held the position of Archbishop of Canterbury, and is considered a Saint and a Doctor of the Church. De Libertate Arbitrii (On the Freedom of Choice) presents us with a dialogue between Anslem and a disciple about the problem of free will and its implications for human and divine nature.

Text: the title on f. 174r reads: Incipit liber Anslemi archiepiscopi de libero arbitrio. The text starts on f. 174r with the following words: Quum liberum arbitrium videtur repugnare. And ends on f. 182r with the following words: de illis interrogare. Explicit liber de libero arbitrio.
