Scope and Contents
Salisbury Chequers in the 13th century. Salisbury's street plan was laid down in the early 13th century and the parallel street formation, running north-south and east-west resulted in the formation of chequer squares and is an example of medieval town planning. Detailed on reverse label: Lent to Cities Exhibition by Architects War Committee. Cities Exhibition No. possibly 11 (as seen on right hand side lower corner).
