Scope and Contents

Leaf from a noted Missal, containing (on f. 1r) the Epistle Non cessamus, Gospel Loquente jhesu ad turbas ecce princeps units accessit, Secret Sacrificiis qs. dne. intende placatus ut et devotion nostre proficiat et saluti, Postcom. Qs. ops. ds. ut illius salutaris capianius effectiun, cujus per hec wisteria pignus accepimus. Per fra. Adromanos [23rd Sunday]. Ferial Epistle Nolo vos ignorare misterium hoc. Gospel Interrogavit ihesum anus de scribis quod esset primum. On f. 1v: Mass of 24th Sunday after Trinity or Pentecost, with choir parts as on Dom. 23 at Sarum. There is also the Collect Epistle and Gospel, and Secret Propicius esto and Postcom. Concede nobis qs. dne. ut per lice, and beginning of the ferial Lesson Si fuerit populus mens Israel.
Writing The hand is clear and good, in black ink. There are capitals in red, and some rubrication. On f. 1r there are red filigree initials.
