Expositio passionis dominicae by Henry of Freimar , 15th century

 part
Identifier: MS 110/ff. 89v-107r

Contents

This section contains an exposition on the Passion of Christ. It is attributed to Henry of Freimar, a German Augustinian theologian writing in the 14th century. In the manuscript, this exposition is titled Explanacio Magistri Henrici de Vrimaria sacre theologie professoris in passionem Domini secundum narracionem omnium ewangelistarum.

It begins on f. 89v with the words Quia nichil est utilius nichil salubrius. It ends on f. 107r with quod nobis praestare dignetur qui est benedictus in sec. sec. Amen, though there has also been a small insertion in a later hand after that. Also on that folio is the explicit, which states Explicit explanacio passionis dominice juxta narracionem quatuor evangeliorum secundum duplicem sensum videlicet litteralem et misticum. Concepta per magistrum Henricum de Vrimaria sacre theologie professorem ordinis sancti Augustini.

Writing

This section is written in a similar hand to the previous and following sections. There is a short insertion in a later hand on f. 107r.
