Ff. 109-132 of MS 174 contain the text Quaetiones by Roger de Baron. This text is identified as such in Thorndike and Kibre's catalogue of medieval scientific manuscripts. Roger de Baron, a thirteenth-century physician from Montpellier is mostly known for his text of practical surgery, the Practica, also known by its nickname, the Rogerina or Rogerina Minor. This text contained in MS 174 is distinct from the Practica and appears in three other manuscripts not including MS 174 known to Thorndike and Kibre.

Roger de Baron's Quaestiones begins on f. 109r with the words Humana scientia cum sit res fragilis... It ends on f. 132r with the line inter sic esto quod offeratur quartanario ungente anasarta.
