This section of the manuscript contains Dragmaticon philosophiae by William of Conches (Guillaume de Conches), a French philosopher from the 12th century. This text is a dialogue on Natural Philosophy, related to his major philosophical work, De philosophia mundi.

This version of the text is from the 13th century and starts on on f. 1r of the manuscript, with the words Queris venerande Dux Normannorum. It ends on f. 23v with definit hoc vivere.

Writing

This section is written in the same hand as the rest of the manuscript. There are some marginal annotations in another slightly later hand, probably 14th century.
