Imago Mundi by Honorius Augustodunensis, 13th century

 part
Identifier: MS 115/ff. 23v-27r

Contents

This section of the manuscript contains the Imago Mundi (The Image of the World) by Honorius Augustodunensis, a 12th-century theologian. It has also been wrongly attributed to Gregory of Huntingdon, Henry of Huntingdon, and Bede. This text is about cosmology.

In this manuscript, it is titled Incipit Ymago Mundi and is introduced on f. 23v with the words Ad instructionem multorum quibus deest copia verborum. The main text begins on that folio with Mundus dicitur quasi undique motus, and it ends on f. 27r with et lxxv miliaria. Explicit liber.

Writing

This section is written in the same hand as the rest of the manuscript. There are some marginal annotations in another slightly later hand, probably 14th century.
