This section of the manuscript contains Liber differentia quae est inter spiritum et animam, originally by Qusṭā Ibn-Lūqā (Costa ben Luca), who was writing in the 9th century. This version is based on the translation by Johannes Hispalensis (John of Seville), who was writing in the 12th century.

It starts on f. 27r with the following incipit: In dei nomine et ejus auxilio. Incipit liber diflerentie que est inter spiritum et animam que constantijben luce philosophicus cuidam animo suo scriptori cujusdam regis edidit quern Johannes Yspalensis domino suo raimundo toletane sedi archiepiscopo de arabico in latinam transtulit . The text itself also starts on f. 27r, with the words Interrogasti honoret te deus.

This section ends on f. 29v with Perfectus est liber constantijben luce de spiritu et anima et differentia quae est inter utrumque. Expletus est liber.Another hand has written some notes at the end of this section.

Writing

This section is written in the same hand as the rest of the manuscript. There are some marginal annotations in another slightly later hand, probably 14th century, which has also added some notes at the end of this section.
