Biographical / Historical
The Joint Biotechnology Unit between Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt Universities was proposed 'to undertake research and development in areas where the experience and expertise of those concerned is complementary. It also looked at links with industry and included Professor John F Wilkinson from the Department of Microbiology, Edinburgh, and Prof CM Brown from the Department of Brewing and Biological Sciences, Heriot Watt.
