Illustration of four houses near Lindsey Palace, Chelsea. Lindsey Palace or Lindsey House was one of the old palaces of Chelsea built for Court Physician, Sir Theodore de Mayerne and later became home to Robert, Earl of Lindsey, Lord Great Chamberlain to Charles II. In c.1909, Sir Hugh Lane (1875-1915) restored the house and garden.This item forms part of a series of 33 items (Coll-1167/A/28/1-27) which were originally displayed on one composite sheet.
