Compendium Logicae, by Paul of Pergula, 1455

MS 320 contains treatises on logic by Paul of Pergula, known collectively as Compendium logicae. Paul of Pergula was a 15th-century humanist philosopher and mathematician. He taught at the School of Rialto in Venice, from 1421 until 1454, and died in Venice in 1455.
ff. 1r-58v: Tractatus logica. The text begins with the line Omnes qui aliquid memoria dignum suis posteris relinquerint... It ends on f. 58v with the line et hec de Insolubilibus dicta sufficiant. Deo gratias. Amen. Explicit feliciter Tractatus logice magistri Pauli de la pergula peritissimi viri die sancto Epiphanie sexto Ianuarii per me Marim de sanctonazo Canonicum Regularem. 1454.
ff.59r-65r: Tractatus de sensu composito et diuiso. The text begins with the line Cum sepenumero cogitarem non mediocrem iuuenibus fructum afferre si composicionis et diuisionis materiam clarissime intellegerent. It ends on f. 65r with Explicit Tractatus de sensu composito et diuiso edito a preclarissimo viro Magistro Paulo pergulensi doctissimo et famosissimo. die octauo Januarii 1454. In monasterio sancti Io. de Viridario padue. Deo sit Laus. et gloria. Amen. Deo gratias. Amen.
ff. 65v-68v: a text titled as Sophismata asinina magistri Pauli pergulensis clarissimi. The first line begins with Hec est uera tu es asinus..., and the final line reads: hoc est aliquod de ly. b. cm. Expliciunt sophismata Asinina Arcium doctoris Magistri Pauli pergulen' eximii viri.
MS 320 is written in a simple and neat humanistic script. There are initials in red ink, and capital letterss in the body of the text are also in red.
