Composite manuscript containing five texts, 2nd half of the 15th century

 Item
Identifier: MS 321

Contents

MS 321 contains five different texts bound together, in the same hand.

ff. 2r-41r: Logica, by Paul de Pergula.

ff. 41v-44v: Tractatus de sensu composito et diuiso, by Paul de Pergula.

ff. 45r-v: Tractatus de inuentione medii termini, Pseudo-Aquinas.

ff. 46v-61r: a text that begins Propositio resolubilis debet resolui hoc modo...

ff. 61v-63v: blank

ff. 64r-105r: Metaphisica by Alexander Fassitelli de S. Elpidio

There are also 16th-century notes inserted in the margins of ff. 2r-8v, and in blank spaces throughout the volume. On f. 61v there are twenty-six versus breues (short verses) on omnes regulas suppositionum(all the rules of supposition).

Writing

Fairly well written in a small, neat hand. The first folio (f. 1), and the last two (ff. 109-110) seem to be from the first half of the 12th century, and presumably appear in MS 321 when an earlier binding was used for this volume. Initials are in red ink.
