Scope and Contents

This notebook continues on from number 158, with Lyell at Kinnordy, Scotland, and continuing his study of the nearby geology, and in discussion with Charles Bunbury and featuring sketches of sites and plants. On September 10th Lyell is in Edinburgh, at Mackay's Hotel, with Dr. Fleming, then travels south to Birmingham, then Coventry and on to Warwick, Kenilworth Castle, and Wolverhampton on to Shropshire,
