Scope and Contents This notebook continues on from number 158, with Lyell at Kinnordy, Scotland, and continuing his study of the nearby geology, in discussion with Charles Bunbury and featuring sketches of sites and plants. On September 10th Lyell travels south, and is in Edinburgh at Mackay's Hotel, Princes Street with Dr. Fleming, then to Birmingham, Coventry and on to Warwick, Kenilworth Castle, Wolverhampton and into Shropshire and Staffordshire.
