Garden Suburbs Extensions, c 1914
Scope and Contents
Within this section were shown images of villas and their gardens, which are described in the printed legacy catalogue (1998) as "Important garden suburb extensions of edinburgh at Morningside, Newington and Trinity ( c. 1800-1900). Items within what has later been classified as the "Garden Suburbs Extensions" section of Geddes' "Cities and Town Planning Exhibition", Dublin (1911) were made up of photographs from Geddes' photographic "Survey of Edinburgh". Processing Information
Items which were recorded in this section of the printed legacy catalogue the "Papers of Sir Professor Patrick Geddes" (1998) were described twice, once in the papers catalogue and then again in volume two of the catalogue which covered the photographs of the "Survey of Edinburgh". These can now be found within the "Survey of Edinburgh" photographs series - see Coll-1167/B/26-28. The series heading is retained to indicate the exhibition arrangement.
