A duplicate copy of a facsimile of an engraving made by David Allen in 1789, of the Ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone at the New College of Edinburgh. This refers to what is now called The Old College Quad at the University of Edinburgh. 1st, Gand Lodge of Scotland; 2nd, Lord Provost, Magistrates & Council; 3rd. Professors & Students; 4th, Procession of Free Masons; 5th, South Bridge terminated by a distant view of the Register Office. "D. Allan del. et incid. Edinbr. Novr. 26, 1789." Black and white print, blue sky. No number given on back.
