Scope and Contents
View of Ramsay Gardens from Outlook Tower. The cottages in the foreground, presumably on the edge of the gardens behind New College and Mound Place, have been demolished. The terrace of Ramsay Gardens, visible beyond the cottages, originally consisted of three houses built by Allan Ramsay, the painter, son of the poet, between 1760 and 1780.
