Scope and Contents
A lithograph drawn by Charles van de Velde and lithography by Léon Sabatier showing the Waters of Merom, a lake 10 miles north of the Sea of Galilee, formed by the River Jordan. In the Bible, during the conquest of Canaan, Joshua defeated the alliance of the Canaanite chieftains under Jabin at the Battle of the Waters of Merom.
