Special Minute from the Senatus concerning Ewart's retirement, with accompanying letters, 04 November 1927
Scope and Contents
The Special Minute consists of a citation by William Fleming expressing the Senatus' 'cordial good wishes...[and] hope that he may in good health and vigour continue his work in Natural History.' The Minute is accompanied by a letter from Fleming to Ewart, and a handwritten draft of Ewart's reply, in which he states that 'it is a source of great gratification to me to know that there is now a well equipped Department of Animal Breeding with a Chair of Animal Genetics in our University.'
