Biographical / Historical
Hayes is probably referring to the book Prjevalsky's horse (Equus prejewalskii pol.) by W. Salensky. The English translation of the book was eventually published by Hurst and Blackett in 1907, with Orlando Charnock Bradley completing the work after Hayes' death in 1904. Ewart provided the introduction.
