In the colophon it is stated that the original copy was in the possession of Sulṭān Muḥammad Ṣafavī Bahādur Khān Īrānī, but contained neither the name of the author nor the usual Praise to the Almighty. At the request of an Englishman, who did not wish his name to be inserted, the present copy was transcribed with brief praise added by the Sulṭān Muḥammad Ṣafavī himself.
