Scope and Contents

This is a collection of transcriptions of letters and dispatches that were sent by His Majesty Ghazī al-Dīn Haydar Khān Bahādūr, the first King of Oudh, from after his accession to the throne, to Colonel John Baillie, British Resident at Lucknow, between the 23rd Rajab, 1229 A.H. (30th July, 1814 C.E.), and the 25th Zulḥijjah, 1230 A.H. (28th November, 1815 C.E.). These letters, like those featured in MS 127-136, deal largely with the administration of the Kingdom of Oudh.
