Scope and Contents

Documentation sent to the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection from the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals on the topic of humane killing of animals through electrocution.

There are two letters addressed to Miss Ivory from Archibald Langwill, Secretary of the SSPCA. The first, dated 6th June 1923 regards the presentation of a letter on electrocution, written by Miss Ivory, to the Directors of the SSPCA. The other relates to the sharing of reports, dated 26th June 1923.

Also included are meeting minutes of a meeting of Directors of the SSPCA where the topic of humane destruction of animals through the means of electrocution is discussed.
