Typewritten notes on an ammendments in Clause 3 of the schedule - slaughter of animals bill.

The ammendment is as follows "A person shall not proceed to slaighter any animal until it shall have been effectually stunned and such stunning stall be effected with a mechanically operated instrument, suitable and sufficient for the purpose and approved by the minister of health on the advice of an expery committee appointed by him who shall advise him as to the suitability of the instruments and their effect on the meat to be supplied to the public, by placing the muzzle of the isntrument against the animal's head in such a position as will cause the bullet or bolt of the isntrument when fired or otherwise propelled to penetrate the animal's brain"
