3) 'Piazzi Smyth Etna paper, May 9 1959'.
4) 'Piazzi Smyth fossil shells on slopes of Tenerife, May 15 1859'.
5) 'Piazzi Smyth Sa[nta] Cruz on slope of crater'. In this letter Lyell and Smyth disagree on the presence of fossils on the slopes of a crater and their origins.
