Relating to publication of reprints of: This Africa was mine by Emily Booth Langworthy, and The African Missionary by Clement Harry Matacheta. With introductions by George Shepperson.

B. Other Publications: Green Gold:

1. Letter A. R. Westrop to the Edinburgh University Press. Mr Westrop is on the point of completing an autobiographical account under the title of Green Gold of the history of the Magombe Tea Estate, which his family owns, and asks permission to quote from Independent African. Magombe Estate, Cholo, Nyasaland, 11 July 1960.

2. George Shepperson to A. R. Westrop. No difficulty in allowing permission to quote. Edinburgh, 16 August 1960.

3. A. R. Westrop to Professor Shepperson. He has found the Professor's opinions on the script 'valuable and constructive' and give him fresh encouragement. A brief Forward would possibly eliminate the need for an Introduction. Magombe Estate, 18 June 1964.

4. A. R. Westrop to Professor Shepperson. Thanks Professor Shepperson for his 'continued help with Green Gold'. Magombe Estate, Malawi, 6 August 1964.

5. Marjorie Westrop to Professor Shepperson. Introduces herself as A. R. Westrop's sister. Her letter deals with the problem of finding a publisher. She feels the manuscript needs a writer to put it together in more objective form for the reading public but asks where such would be found. Wantage, 10 September 1964.

6. A. R. Westrop to Professor G. Shepperson. He has made arrangements for Green Gold to be reproduced by the photograve method in Rhodesia at his own expense. Professor Shepperson is welcome to receive a copy for the University Library. Magombe Estate, Malawi, 11 June 1965.

7-8. Circulars relating to publication.

C. Other Publications: Blantyre:

1. Letter - Rex Collings to Professor George Shepperson. He is sending Professor Shepperson a copy of Counter Insurgency which he considers of interest. He would also like to send a script to read by Paul Cole-King and David Leishman called Blantyre: the origin and development of a central African city. London, 23 November 1976.

2. Professor Shepperson to Rex Collings. He has received the Paul Cole-King and David Leishman Blantyre, but it is incomplete. Asks if he is to report on it in this state. Edinburgh, 26 November 1974.

3. Rex Collings to George Shepperson. Sends his Christmas Book. Advises waiting until the Cole-King script is complete. London, 21 December 1976.
